Job Summary – The Schools and Colleges Engagement Team at the University have an opportunity for a School and College Engagement Assistant to join them and support with the delivery of events and activities in schools and colleges based in the UK. Based in Exeter, you will spend a significant proportion of your role working out in schools and colleges, delivering workshops, recruitment and educational sessions. You will also be involved in developing workshops and presentations, online resources and/or marketing materials. You will contribute towards the successful delivery of online outreach through our Discover University programme of activities. You will support our Easter and summer residential programmes, assist with occasional events on campus in Exeter, and help run CPD sessions for teachers and HE advisors. You will represent the University at national exhibitions organised by partners including UCAS, UK Uni Search amongst others. This role is part of the Graduate Business Partnership (GBP) scheme and offers a full-time contract (36.5 hours p/w) until July 2026. This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home. You will need to have a UK driving licence for this role and hire cars will be provided. About You – You should be a graduate who has excellent organisational and planning skills, the ability to manage multiple projects meeting deadlines and targets, has strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to disseminate information effectively to a variety of audiences, and has good IT skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. You should have a flexible, professional and proactive approach to work, have a positive approach to change and a willingness to adapt, a proven ability to work effectively as both a part of a team and independently, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. You should also have a proven ability to work with high levels of accuracy, the ability to be able to talk from experience about studying a subject at degree level , and proven ability to effectively multitask.
