The Department of Government is a large and vibrant academic unit within the LSE and world-leading centre for study and research in politics and government. The post holder will join the Professional Services team responsible for delivering all taught (Undergraduate and MSc) programmes within the Department.
You will be responsible for supporting the administration of the Department’s taught programmes and responding to queries from staff and students.
Key tasks include:
Candidates should have demonstrable experience of academic administration and student or customer service. Experience of interpreting policy and rules to advise stakeholders on a range of topics.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and accurately, both orally and in writing, with a wide range of internal and external contacts. Experience of participating in and making a positive contribution to a team. Experience of solving everyday problems and thinking creatively, including recognising when a problem should be referred to others.
