Are you an Admissions Administrator passionate about people, talent, and workplace culture? Join our dynamic Graduate Admissions and Recruitment team at the University of Oxford and help attract, support, and develop top talent in our world-leading institution.
About Us
Part of the Graduate Admissions and Recruitment office, the Operations team plays a key role in supporting applicants through the entire application process, processing applications, documents and responding to enquiries, as well as supporting 70+ academic departments and 45 colleges or private halls through all stages of the graduate admissions process, ensuring the successful enrolment of outstanding graduate students for the following academic year. Graduate admissions is a high-volume operation with over 40,000 applications and 25,000 enquiries received each year.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Graduate Admissions Operations team, which handles the over 40,000 applications and 25,000 enquiries received by the University each year for postgraduate courses. You will, in particular, help the Graduate Admissions Manager (Departments) to support administrators in academic departments across the University through a flourishing community of practice.
Alongside five other graduate admissions administrators, this role also carries out a broad range of core tasks within the central admissions process, including processing applications, responding to applicant and staff enquiries and conducting systems-based monitoring tasks.
You will engage with a broad range of stakeholders across the University and applicants across the globe in contributing to our goal of ensuring that the University recruits outstanding postgraduate students. Using our comprehensive process library, the postholder will provide advice and guidance on admissions policies and procedures both internally and externally, and contribute to the planning and delivery of initiatives to enhance our activities. The postholder will use a broad range of systems to carry out these activities, including the student record database and enquiry management tool.
This role would be an excellent introduction to graduate admissions at Oxford and would offer opportunities to get involved in projects to improve our service and to learn about other parts of the University.
