The Role
Are you a Design, Branding or creative communications expert with teaching experience? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Lecturer on our BA (Hons) Advertising and Brand Design course.
Our award-winning multidisciplinary course examines areas of strategic branding, design and advertising communications. We need a team player to help develop our learners’ skills in strategic branding, design and advertising communications. Nurture their creativity and boost their long-term career prospects.
It’s a great time to join Ravensbourne, our course is taught in a dynamic studio in our brand-new building located in the Greenwich Peninsula. You will lead Level 4 and have input into the overall course content, project and curriculum design, planning, and assessing modules.
The role is offered on a fractional (0.6) basis or 3 days (12 hours teaching) per week during the academic year. You will be responsible for designing, planning, delivering and assessing modules, as well as professionalism within the Advertising and Brand Design industry.
You’ll be providing hands-on, practical tuition, guiding students as they work with industry standard equipment, learn to set up professional shoots, and craft compelling digital narratives across a range of platforms. You’ll combine the theoretical and practical to deliver engaging sessions, bringing real-world insight into content creation, drawing from your own professional experience working for clients to develop content for social media and digital campaigns. Our students want to be inspired by their teaching staff and are eager to develop their skills in the technical and practical side of content creation.
Our course has forged excellent links with key players within the industry. The candidate will be an important member of the team and help us to continue to build on these relationships, and forge new ones, to enrich student experience and prospects. You’ll help us market the course to prospective students as well as support current students to develop and showcase their work as they begin their careers.
