Cleaner

Applications are invited for the post of Cleaner at Cambridge University Library.

You will work as part of a team to carry out cleaning and various other duties to a high standard to maintain and enhance the working environment. No prior specialist training is required; however, it is essential that the role holder can clean to a high standard and has a willingness to be trained on the job.

You will have good attention to detail and take pride in your work. You will preferably have experience of cleaning (offices, public areas), and be able to prioritise your workload with minimal supervision. The ability to work cooperatively as part of a team and good communication skills are essential. 

You will contribute to the preservation of Library collections through good housekeeping and the cleaning of Library collections in collaboration with the Conservation Department. 

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday inclusive. The position will be based at the University Library, West Road, but from time to time you will provide cover across the Cambridge University Libraries network, which may require you to work at different library sites.
