Main duties and responsibilities
As Timetabling Team Leader (Operations) you will play a key leadership role within the Teaching Accommodation Service, overseeing the delivery of accurate and timely timetables for both staff and students across a number of academic Schools. You’ll be responsible for leading and line-managing a team of Timetabling Officers, Assistant Timetabling Officers, and Timetabling Assistants, ensuring they are supported, developed, and motivated to succeed.
You will also be responsible for Maintaining strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders – including academic Schools, professional services, and system partners – to understand their needs and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions. You will promote best practice and ensure good performance across the service, assist, develop, implement and coordinate operational changes and monitor key service performance indicators, producing reports, and providing analysis and interpretation of data as required.
Skills and experience required
You’ll bring leadership abilities with a strong background in managing a team of staff and delivering a high-quality service in a customer focused environment. We’re particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate: a high standard of customer care and an appropriate manner in dealing with a range of different stakeholders, experience of management within a customer service organisation at an appropriate level of responsibility, and experience of effective performance management with a track record of implementing operational change in a team. You will also have a “can-do” approach to problem solving, a high standard of communication and good organisational skills and good practical IT skills including the use of MS Office and corporate databases and systems.
Qualifications required
You will be educated with a minimum of a degree or equivalent, or proven work experience.
