About this role
Are you a talented administrator with excellent organisational skills? Would you like to be part of the team that supports UWE’s Library and Learning Services (LLS), managing and improving its physical spaces and providing excellent customer service for tasks as diverse as Executive Team meetings or contact with suppliers, contractors and students.
We are looking for a motivated and flexible administrator to join the LLS Operations Team based at Frenchay Campus.
About you
You will be flexible and open to learning new skills across a wide range of tasks that ensure smooth operations for staff and provide the best experience for students.
Key to your success in this role will be:
Communication – Building relationships within the team, across all levels of the Library and Learning Services and with other UWE services, external suppliers and contractors.
Collaboration – Establish positive and effective working relationships within the Operations Team, colleagues in Library and Learning Services and across UWE to deliver the best service and experience.
Organisation – Managing key tasks within Library and Learning Services, including health and safety, finance processes, tracking of mandatory training, and organisation of planned maintenance work in a busy University Library.
Innovation – You will be prepared to identify and suggest process changes making tasks more efficient and, as importantly, easier to complete.
You will actively demonstrate UWE values and encourage others to do the same. You will be a proactive champion for equality, diversity and inclusion across the service area and the University, helping to integrate and embed the University’s commitment to anti-racism and achieving inclusive and equitable environments for all.
About us:
Library and Learning Services empower every student to achieve their academic and career ambitions by embedding our expertise in digital learning, career development and academic skills directly into their learning experience.
We provide:
We offer a wide range of employee benefits including progressive pay rates, generous annual leave and career average pension schemes as well as retail savings, onsite nursery and opportunities for training and personal development.
Add your individuality to ours
We particularly encourage applications from global majority candidates as we are currently under-represented in this area of the organisation, however all appointments are made strictly on individual merit.
