The Senior Lecturer role (CLS, Academic Programmes) offers an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit academic community, further develop a strong research profile, and support students across a range of programmes, within one of London’s leading Law Schools.

Responsibilities

Successful candidates will demonstrate potential for internationally recognised research, with a developing publication record, and will have the capacity to make a significant contribution to research, education and the student experience in the Department. They will have experience teaching diverse student groups, expertise in core or specialist areas of law, and the ability to deliver research-informed education. Candidates should be able to demonstrate commitment to equality, diversity and collegiality with the ability to contribute to academic administration, research funding and the broader academic community.

Person Specification

Candidates should hold a PhD in a relevant field (or be nearing completion) and demonstrate engagement with the UK Professional Standards Framework ideally meeting HEA Fellow Descriptor 2 criteria. Strong subject knowledge in core or specialist areas of law is essential along with experience in teaching undergraduate cohorts. Applicants must show a commitment to high-quality, inclusive education, use of modern teaching technologies, and active research.

Interviews are scheduled to take place on w/c 7th July 2025.

The selection process will involve an interview and presentation exercise.
