We have an exciting opportunity in our dynamic Estates and Facilities department for a skilled Administrator. This role involves providing professional and detailed support to the department as part of a close-knit and collaborative team.
The role
In this position you will work in a team, which serves as the single point of contact for all Estates services, playing a key role in ensuring the successful operation of Estates within the University. You will be required to communicate effectively with all Estates personnel, staff at all levels from various departments and Faculties across the University, as well as external visitors and contractors. A key part of the role is working with maintenance managers to ensure records up to date and supporting the department administration.
The team operates from 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.
About you
The ideal candidate will have substantial administrative experience and will be proficient in using Microsoft Office programs. While prior HE or Estates and Maintenance experience is advantageous, it is not essential. The ability to prioritize tasks, assess urgency, negotiate, influence, and interact with a diverse range of stakeholders are skills you will develop in this role.
The ability to communicate with people both from within and outside the University is a major part of this role and strong communication skills will add to the customers’ perceived quality of the service provided. Good levels of accuracy are required in carrying out the work of the department.
