About the Role
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) is seeking to recruit a Senior Research Manager who will play a key role in the development and implementation of the Faculty’s research and innovation strategy. You will be the lead contact for all research and innovation activities in your designated School and oversee delivery of excellent research support across your allocated areas. You will line manage a team of Research Managers and a Research Officer.
You will work closely with the Strategic Faculty Research Manager, the Dean of Research, Directors of Research and Strategic Theme Leads on the implementation of your area’s research strategies.
About You
The role is based within the Faculty Office and requires maintaining close links with academic and Professional Services staff in allocated Schools, the wider Faculty Research Support Team and central services.
Effective communication and relationship management across multiple and varied stakeholders internally and externally is a key requirement as is the ability manage a team in a fast-moving environment.
The successful candidate will have relevant experience of bid development and research management in an academic environment and line management experience.
