About the Role
The International Student Recruitment Team at Queen Mary are seeking to appoint a new Regional Manager within the Global Engagement Office.

The role will have responsibility for recruitment for the Middle East with other market responsibilities to be confirmed. Markets may be subject to change in the future, dependent on the business needs of the university.

The post holder will manage regional recruitment and marketing activities with particular focus on several key markets and maintaining relationships with sponsorship bodies and agents. The successful candidate will be based in the UK but will be expected to travel extensively.

About You
The ideal candidate will have experience in international higher education, preferably in a recruitment or marketing context.

We are seeking a highly motivated and confident individual who can work independently and take initiative. Strong relationship management skills are essential, as the role involves building and maintaining effective partnerships with a wide range of external stakeholders. The post holder will also collaborate across the university with both academic and professional services staff and must be able to manage a demanding and varied workload.

About the School
You will join a forward-thinking, solution-focused team within the Marketing and Communications Directorate. Our Directorate is responsible for raising the awareness and reputation of Queen Mary among its target audiences, and for increasing the quality and quantity of Queen Mary applicants. We collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, supporting staff, students and prospective students to achieve more.

About Queen Mary
At Queen Mary University of London, we believe that a diversity of ideas helps us achieve the previously unthinkable.

Throughout our history, we’ve fostered social justice and improved lives through academic excellence. And we continue to live and breathe this spirit today, not because it’s simply ‘the right thing to do’ but for what it helps us achieve and the intellectual brilliance it delivers.

We continue to embrace diversity of thought and opinion in everything we do, in the belief that when views collide, disciplines interact, and perspectives intersect, truly original thought takes form.

Benefits
We offer competitive salaries, access to a generous pension scheme, 30 days’ leave per annum (pro-rata for part-time/fixed-term), a season ticket loan scheme and access to a comprehensive range of personal and professional development opportunities. In addition, we offer a range of work life balance and family friendly, inclusive employment policies, campus facilities and flexible working arrangements.

The post is based at Department W, our building for Professional Services staff at Queen Mary in Whitechapel. It is full-time, permanent appointment, with an expected start date in September 2025. The starting salary will be Grade 5, in the range of £43,677 - £51,040 per annum, inclusive of London allowance.

Informal enquiries should be addressed to Jasmine Bual, Deputy Head of International Student Recruitment, at j.bual@qmul.ac.uk.
