About the Role
An opportunity has arisen in the Digital Environment Research Institute to provide maternity cover for the Institute Manager position. The role will be available from mid-August, for a period of 12 months. The role is multi-faceted and the successful candidate will oversee, and lead the operational aspects of the Institute, including managing the Institute’s budgets, research portfolio, HR and professional services aspects, as well as estates, and health and safety requirements.
Priorities during the 12-month period will be focused on maintaining the growth of the institute, providing holistic operational support, including supporting the expansion of the research portfolio, and maximising financial return to the department.
About You
Ideal candidates will have a background in operational management, including overseeing budgets, leadership, and line management responsibilities, and leading on projects, as well as a grounding in research grants, and an understanding of the research landscape.
