About us
UCL’s Policy Office oversees policy across UCL, working closely with the many specialist policy teams to ensure that policies are fit for purpose and aligned with UCL’s values and mission.
The Policy Office is in the process of establishing a new framework for UCL, which will include standardised processes for developing, updating and approving policies. The Policy Office is also developing a central policy register to make it easier for staff and students to access the information that they need.
About the role
As the Senior Policy Office Adviser, you'll support the Chief Policy Officer with strategic planning and management of UCL’s new institutional policy function, with a focus on the implementation and maintenance of UCL’s new policy lifecycle management tool and the development of the new register.
You'll work closely with the Chief Policy Officer to monitor and evaluate the new policy framework, and with internal and external stakeholders to operationalise the new framework and support policy owners with the development of policy in line with that framework.
A full list of responsibilities can be found on the attached job description.
About you
To do this job you'll need experience of policy development (proposals, drafting, consultation, approvals) and policy related project management, and experience of building and managing stakeholder relationships, particularly with policy owners.
If you have experience of working in a Higher Education environment then that's great - but if you don't, and you tick our other boxes, we'd still love to hear from you.
Please review the job description carefully, paying particular attention to the Essential and Desirable criteria, and ensure these are covered in your application.
