We are currently piloting a four-day working week which allows our colleagues to work 32 hours per week over 4 days with no reduction in pay. ABOUT THE ROLE
The Personal Academic Tutor (PAT) team sits within the Academic Development Centre and is formed of professionals with academic subject specialism relevant to the programme followed by the students they are supporting, and with experience of Higher Education curricula as well as of teaching, assessing and supporting students at UG and/or PG level.
The PAT role is dynamic, focusing on developing students' academic performance and confidence by providing personalised subject-specific support and targeted interventions in one-to-one or small group settings.
You will be supporting students studying BA in Business Management programme, so it is important that you have a relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification. In addition, you will have experience of working in Higher Education (HE), will have a solid understanding of the academic curriculum and teaching and learning approaches in HE as well as experience of providing academic assessment feedback to students. We are looking for someone with outstanding interpersonal skills who can collaborate with academic and professional support staff and who is committed to providing an outstanding experience to all students.
