About the role
The University is looking for a friendly, efficient and experienced Postgraduate Admissions Manager to lead the core business of processing applications for Masters and PhD degrees.
Working with the other Postgraduate Admissions Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the University’s central postgraduate admissions team of 11 to ensure the swift, accurate and fair selection of postgraduate applicants. You will monitor the changing patterns of applications, stepping in to resolve difficulties, help with processing and reallocating work as required to ensure the prompt processing of decisions. You will support the team, provide advice and guidance on a range of admissions matters and take necessary steps to ensure an excellent applicant journey and a strong staff experience.
You will also take an active role in leading key functions of admissions work, such as visa preparation, qualifications advice and guidance, fee assessment and the summer confirmation process. You will also work closely with colleagues in the enquiries team to maintain excellent communication with applicants (both verbal and written) throughout the cycle.
About you

You will ideally also have experience of student fee assessment.
You will need to be organised, hard-working and possess excellent attention to detail. You should be comfortable working in a busy, pressured environment with an expectation of meeting tight deadlines.
You will need excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. You will ideally have experience of working with people from across the globe and in dealing with those whose first language is not English.
You will have experience of working within a team and evidence of working collaboratively with others to achieve a common goal. You will ideally have experience of line management or can demonstrate the skills and aptitude to be an excellent manager.
