The HR Advisor (Campus Services) is responsible for providing clear, outcome- and business-focused, and legally compliant HR advice to line managers and individuals. The aim of the role is to enable excellent people management practice and build the capability of individuals, teams and departments to meet the University’s and the department’s objectives.
Supporting the delivery of the University Strategy you work in such a way that supports pace, innovation and customer service in HR service delivery.
As part of a dedicated Campus Services HR team, you will support and develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders and the central University HR team.
About you
You will be proactive, customer focused and keen to be part of a team that seeks to continuously improve HR service and delivery. Relationship building, the ability to positively influence others, continuously improve people management/engagement practices and manage your own workload will be critical to your success. You should have sound previous experience of delivering practical HR advice and effective knowledge of employment legislation to enable you to support the large and busy operational Campus Services department.

This role is offered on a full time (36.5 hours per week) permanent basis.
The Campus Services department was created in August 2022 by combining all the facilities teams across the University into one department to support our University strategy, where strong campus services are essential to underpin excellence in education, research and experience for students, staff, visitors and commercial customers alike.
With over 400 staff, Campus Services consists of a diverse range of teams including student living, hospitality, retail, cleaning and portering, security, postal services and landscaping.
