St Hugh’s College is offering a fantastic opportunity for a Lodge Manager to provide leadership and oversight of the St Hugh’s Lodge.  The Lodge is critical to the operation of the College site – operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week throughout the year – and is responsible for the security of the College site, and the safety of all students, members of staff and visitors alike.

Hours will be worked five out of seven days, and will include some weekend, evening and night shifts to ensure the smooth running of the Lodge.

In this key role, you will oversee the efficient running of the Lodge by line managing the Head Porter and leading a team of Porters and ensuring maximum efficiency, excellent communication and good morale. You will motivate and lead the Lodge Team to provide the very best service to all stakeholders by being a welcoming and highly professional function at all times.

As the Lodge Manager you represent the face of the college to all stakeholders that interact with the role and the team. You must be flexible, approachable, professional and passionate with a track record of delivering high-level customer service. You will have experience in health and safety and emergency procedures and be responsible for security of the college whilst providing a welcoming environment.

You will need to demonstrate proven experience in front office/Lodge management of staff and managing in all areas including performance, welfare, customer service, administration within a university college, hotel or similar environment.
