The Trusted Research Environment (TRE) Systems Administrator is a key member of the College of Medical, Veterinary & Life Sciences (MVLS) Service team responsible for providing and supporting the Unit’s IT Infrastructure.
The postholder will be primarily responsible for managing and maintaining the physical and virtual Linux and Windows Server core infrastructure and responsible for systems administration, user support, and development. You will perform daily operations and maintenance tasks for Windows and Linux systems supporting TRE in a secure enterprise environment, ensuring high availability and performance of research services and infrastructure.
In addition, you will manage TRE server infrastructure including liaising with Vendor Support (e.g., Dell, Broadcom, DataVita, Vyatta), Network Connectivity (University Information Services/ DataVita) and Co-location site (DataVita) and you will provide support and maintenance for virtualized systems (VMWare).
