The Role

This hybrid role includes both face-to-face and online teaching, designed to provide exceptional learning experiences across our campuses.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

  • Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and tutorials in line with the approved curriculum.
  • Prepare and update teaching materials and manage the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
  • Promote student engagement and maintain accurate attendance records.
  • Suggest improvements to enhance the academic experience.

Assessment & Marking

  • Design and assess coursework in line with college procedures.
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Attend standardisation meetings and manage academic misconduct appropriately.

Student Support

  • Monitor and support student performance and engagement.
  • Refer students to appropriate support services and oversee Learning Support Plans.
  • Provide academic and limited pastoral support.

Quality Assurance

  • Complete module evaluation reports and participate in programme reviews.
  • Attend committee meetings and contribute to quality assurance efforts.
  • Engage in academic governance and accreditation processes.

Scholarship & Professional Development

  • Stay up to date with relevant scholarship and research.
  • Share expertise internally and externally.
  • Apply scholarship to improve teaching and learning.

Workload & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with academic teams across disciplines.
  • Lead module design and assessment development.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to extracurricular activities.

What We’re Looking For

  • A qualified English language educator with teaching experience in academic settings.
  • Strong knowledge of English for Academic Purposes (EAP).
  • A student-focused mindset with a passion for teaching excellence.
  • Flexibility to travel and work across multiple London campuses.
  • Proficiency with digital platforms (e.g., MS Teams, VLEs).
