Birmingham Newman University has an opportunity for a part-time Planning and Data Support Officer to join our Planning and Systems Development Team in the University Secretary’s Office. We are seeking someone who is passionate about data and wants to utilise this enthusiasm to support the University’s decision-making, planning and monitoring of performance.
This is an excellent opportunity for an outstanding individual with a strong analytical capability to play a major part in the development of strategically important management information, data visualisations and produce and present insightful reports to our senior leadership team. You will be interrogating and analysing challenging business intelligence problems and producing data-driven, action–oriented solutions. The post holder will also play a key role in the production of our external student data returns, specifically HESA Data Futures.
The successful applicant will have a good honours degree or strong evidence of high level analytical, communication and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail and the ability to work well as part of a small and friendly team in addition to using your own initiative are essential. You will be an effective negotiator and committed to working positively with stakeholders and colleagues from across the University.
