The Guildhall School of Music & Drama is a vibrant, international community of young musicians, actors and theatre technicians in the heart of the City of London. We produce outstanding graduates whose talents light up stages and concert platforms throughout the world. As well as providing professional training at junior, undergraduate and postgraduate level, the School has a substantial programme of regular performances, encompassing concerts, recitals, plays, operas and musicals open to the general public.
The Production Arts department is seeking a Stage Management Lecturer with broad experience in the industry (theatre, events, film or TV) to join the Stage Management department.
They will work closely with the students, delivering masterclasses, providing support on production roles and creating written and verbal feedback, to provide a high standard of effective training. They will also assist the Head of Stage Management and colleagues with the day to day running of the course and developing how this is structured and delivered.

Because our roles are so varied, we don’t have a ‘one size fits all’ policy for workplace attendance. How many days a week you’ll be required to attend your workplace will depend on the requirements of your role. It’s important that you understand the requirements before applying to ensure you are able to meet them. We are committed to considering requests to work flexibly and job share. Requests will be considered by the recruiting manager in line with our policies and business needs.
For more information on our categories for workplace attendance, please view our guide here.
We will be reviewing this policy and approach at regular intervals to ensure we’re meeting our attendance needs.
