Research Contracts and Awards Administrative Assistant
LSE is committed to building a diverse, equitable and truly inclusive university
Salary from £36,008 to £40,991 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £43,854 pa inclusive of London allowance
1 year Fixed-Term Contract
This is an opportunity for a proactive and organised administrative assistant to join LSE’s Research & Innovation Division on a one-year fixed-term contract. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience and contribute to a forward-thinking team during a key period of development in a dynamic, collaborative environment that supports LSE’s world-leading research under the LSE 2030 Research for the World strategy.
You will provide administrative support across both the Research & Innovation Contracts Team and the Research Awards Team, helping to maintain high-quality operational support during a time of evolving priorities, playing a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of processes that underpin research funding and contract management. While your time will be shared across both teams, your line management and primary reporting will sit within the Research & Innovation Contracts Team.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include managing shared inboxes, maintaining digital records, scheduling meetings, coordinating documentation, supporting reporting processes, and ensuring the smooth running of key workflows. Your contribution will enable the team to continue delivering excellent service while supporting broader strategic work within the division.
We’re seeking a motivated, detail-oriented administrator with strong organisational and communication skills. You’ll be confident managing multiple tasks, adaptable to change, and committed to supporting colleagues in a busy and collaborative environment.
LSE offers a flexible and collaborative working environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work both remotely and on-site but will be expected to attend our London office weekly.
