About the role

Imperial College London is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Reward Coordinator to join our Reward Team within the Employee Experience & Culture division. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of our Total Remuneration Package and help shape the future of reward and benefits at Imperial.

As Reward Coordinator, you will provide essential coordination and operational support across a wide range of reward and benefits initiatives. You will work closely with the Reward Manager, Reward Adviser, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of processes such as pay reviews, benchmarking, benefits fairs, and employee engagement activities.

This role requires excellent organisational skills, a methodical approach, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and delivering a high standard of service.

What you would be doing

  • Support the implementation of annual pay negotiations and discretionary pay reviews
  • Assist with pay gap analysis, data validation, and reporting
  • Act as a first point of contact for reward and benefits queries
  • Coordinate benefits fairs, drop-in sessions, and family-friendly workshops
  • Maintain accurate records and support internal communications around staff benefits
  • Contribute to benchmarking exercises and the development of new benefit offerings
  • Provide administrative support for projects, meetings, and planning activities

What we are looking for

Essential:

  • Educated to A-level standard or equivalent, with GCSEs in English and Maths (grades A–C)
  • Experience in a busy administrative role, with strong organisational and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital tools
  • Ability to work methodically, maintain confidentiality, and manage competing priorities
  • Experience of minute-taking and diary management

Desirable:

  • Qualification in administration or secretarial studies
  • Experience in the higher education sector
  • Familiarity with office financial duties and survey coordination
