We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Clinical University Lecturer/Honorary Specialty Trainee in Periodontics to join the Glasgow Dental School, part of the School of Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing, within the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences [MVLS] at the University of Glasgow.

Our Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programme is a modern, integrated five year programme with an undergraduate study population of approximately 450-500. The programme has achieved outstanding rankings in recent national league tables. Academic Restorative Dentistry at Glasgow incorporates Operative Dentistry, Endodontics, Fixed & Removable Prosthodontics, and Periodontics. The Restorative Clinic includes 50 chairs for undergraduate and postgraduate students, and the facilities have recently undergone a significant refurbishment programme. Our advanced and collaborative curriculum recognises, respects, and fully supports individuals, to flourish and become a world changer.
We offer postgraduate research opportunities and taught postgraduate programmes in a range of subjects. Our students and staff benefit from cutting-edge facilities supporting patient care, clinical training, education and research. The Dental School is home to two internationally recognised research groups in Oral Sciences and Community Oral Health, which collaborate with international research partners. In partnership with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, we operate an active Dental Clinical Research Facility.
Applicants must hold a BDS or equivalent dental qualification registrable with the General Dental Council (GDC) and must be fully GDC registered prior to the post’s commencement.
