About the role
The Faculty of Music seeks to appoint a part-time New Music Co-ordinator from 26 August 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Oxford’s Music Faculty is one of the largest and liveliest music departments in the country, and an internationally renowned centre of musical teaching and research. The New Music Co-ordinator provides dedicated, specialist support to the Faculty’s New Music Convenors (currently Professor Martyn Harry and Professor Jennifer Walshe) in the effective planning and organisation of Faculty-run activities relating to newly composed and contemporary music activities linked to compositional research and the composition syllabus at both undergraduate and graduate level, including concerts, workshops, lecture series, and other events.
This position is part-time on an annualised hours basis. The pattern of working will be negotiated with the line manager but will involve the majority of hours across the year being worked during term time.
The post will require evening and weekend working from time to time.
The post holder will be based at the Faculty of Music as their normal place of work.
