About the role
Are you experienced at developing impactful exhibitions and excited by the opportunity to deliver a purposeful permanent exhibition at the heart of a new research centre and public venue, in Paddington, London?
The Fleming Initiative, a new partnership led by Imperial College London and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, is looking for a creative Exhibition Content Developer with a strong track record in researching content, developing interpretation strategies and an appetite for involving local communities in exhibition development.
The Initiative aims to protect global populations from the threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) through an innovative approach combining research, behaviour change, public engagement and policy. At the heart of this vision is a purpose-built Fleming Centre London, due to open in 2028, where visitors can discover and contribute to the past, present and future of AMR research.
What you would be doing
You will research and deliver content for a permanent public offer of object displays, art commissions, powerful personal stories, digital assets and interactives, worthy of the world’s best museums, galleries and science centres, based at the St Mary’s hospital campus, the location of Sir Alexander Fleming’s discovery of penicillin, as well as the exhibition’s associated digital presence. You will do so in a way that allows visitors to participate in engaged AMR research, creating a living lab as an extension of the Fleming Centre’s research spaces.

Fixed-term contract for 12 months in the first instance, with extension subject to funding based at St. Mary’s Campus (Paddington).
