About the Role
For informal queries, please reach out to Bozena Beauclair (Head of Marketing and Communications) at bozena.beauclair@warwick.ac.uk.
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s top Economics departments in a role that blends strategic event management, alumni engagement, and digital communications.
As our Events and External Engagement Officer within the Marketing and Communications Team, you will be responsible for the planning, delivery and evaluation of a diverse portfolio of high-impact events – from international research conferences and guest lectures to student recruitment and alumni networking.
You will also lead on developing opportunities for current students to connect with our global alumni and employer networks, supporting their career development and enhancing student experience.
We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.
About You
You will bring significant experience of working in a complex organisation with a background in event delivery, external engagement or both.
You’ll be an excellent communicator and content creator who utilises a variety of digital tools to engage effectively with our target audiences.
You’ll have excellent organisational and project management skills, with attention to detail.
You’ll be creative, self-motivated, with a flexible approach to working in a busy team environment.
Experience in higher education or external engagement is desirable but not essential.
