St Mary’s University is seeking an ambitious and knowledgeable academic to join our growing Accounting and Finance team within the School of Business and Communication.
This role is central to the development and delivery of a vibrant and evolving academic portfolio and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to both teaching excellence and curriculum innovation.
This appointment will also play a key role in the validation and revalidation of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Accounting and Finance, ensuring they meet the highest standards of academic quality and professional accreditation.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years experience teaching at undergraduate level in UK higher education and a sound understanding of quality assurance processes, including programme validation and revalidation.
They will demonstrate the ability to design and develop new programmes, create effective learning materials, and deliver engaging assessments. Strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and a collaborative mindset are essential. The ideal candidate will also have experience supervising student research projects and be able to apply both analytical and creative thinking in curriculum development.
A postgraduate teaching qualification, Fellowship of the HEA, a relevant PhD, or a professional accounting qualification are highly desirable.
