Do you have a passion for print, photography, and visual storytelling? Do you thrive in collaborative environments where your knowledge can support the creative work of others? London College of Fashion is seeking a skilled part-time Support Technician to join the Media Lab at our East Bank campus in Stratford.
The Media Lab is an innovative space equipped with a broad range of professional facilities, including darkroom processing, scanning, bookbinding, mounting, and digital printing. As part of our technical team, you’ll be at the heart of day-to-day operations, offering hands-on guidance and support to staff and students, demonstrating specialist techniques, and ensuring our lab runs smoothly and safely.
You’ll work closely with both students and academic teams, sharing your expertise in small group or one-to-one settings, helping learners to understand processes, develop their skills, and realise their creative goals.
About You
You have practical experience in media print and publication processes, with a strong working knowledge of both digital and traditional techniques. You’re someone who enjoys solving problems, explaining complex processes clearly, and working with care and attention to detail.
You’ll also understand how creative spaces operate and are comfortable applying health and safety procedures in a workshop or lab setting. Whether you're supporting students, advising on materials or processes, or troubleshooting a technical issue, you're approachable, positive, and committed to delivering a high standard of support.
