We are looking for a User Services Team Leader to join UEA Library to manage and deliver frontline information services in support of UEA teaching, research and engagement activities.
Key duties of the role include managing the team of Senior Information Assistants, providing leadership, guidance and support and being responsible for the day-to-day delivery of our efficient and customer-focussed frontline service. This will involve making daily operational decisions, organising rotas to balance service and staff needs and responding to unforeseen operational problems. You will also develop changes and improvements within the service to ensure that user needs are met and that the Library is accessible and inclusive.
You will be qualified to HND or A level (or equivalent) or have work-related experience in a similar role. Recent experience of front-line service delivery is essential, as is the ability to problem-solve under pressure, using initiative and judgement to resolve issues. Knowledge of equality, diversity and inclusion is also essential, particularly in how it relates to customer service. You should have strong IT skills, including Microsoft 365 and knowledge of a library management system would be beneficial.
This part-time (0.6 FTE) post is available from 18 August 2025 on an indefinite basis. You will work three days a week on campus: Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Hours of work are 10.30 to 18.30.
We strongly encourage applicants from Black, Asian or other minority ethnic backgrounds and welcome applications from all protected groups as defined by the Equality Act 2010. Appointment will be made on merit.
Further information on our great benefits package, including 34 days annual leave inclusive of Bank Holidays and additional University Customary days (pro rata for part-time), can be found on our benefits page.
