The Programme Manager role is part of an experienced professional services team, working in partnership with academic colleagues, as well as faculty and central directorates to provide a high-quality administrative support service and student and staff experience.
About the role
The Programmes Manager will work as part of a team focusing on taught education programmes, ensuring consistent management and delivery of our programmes by providing high quality and effective administrative support, in accordance with university and faculty priorities, timelines and policies. Providing direction and line management to a Senior Programme Officer and a Programme Officer, you will be responsible for allocating resource to ensure consistent and effective service delivery to staff and students. You will lead and enable a team to provide a high level of customer support to relevant stakeholders.
There will also be opportunities to represent the faculty in wider university activities and committees, in support of the faculty’s interests, and to work collaboratively with university functions. You will also ensure that staff are aware of their purpose and are engaging with a shared vision for the university and the faculty.
Successful candidates will have a proactive approach to leadership and line management as well as creating high performing motivated teams. They will have experience of complex administration, as well as a commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to communicate to wide range of stakeholders.
The role is currently a hybrid role, and the role holder will spend part of their working week on campus and part of the week working remotely.
This post is available as a secondment opportunity for internal candidates, subject to line manager approval.
This is a full-time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered a 9-month fixed term contract starting no earlier than 22/09/20525 until 21/06/2026 in the first instance with possibility to extend.
