As a result of internal promotions we are looking for a well-organised, highly IT literate individual to provide administrative support to the placements team. 

You will join a successful and friendly team and be responsible for providing an efficient and effective service to students, employer partners and staff.  

About us

The placements team support nearly 1000 different placements, exchanges and consultancy projects each year, and the administrators are a vital part of the team's activities. 

Among other responsibilities they manage a number of shared mailboxes and ensure all required documentation and assessment is completed by students and employers. 

They also ensure databases and other data records are completed accurately. 

About you

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with placement providers, students, academic staff, professional services and other stakeholders. 
  • Have excellent written and spoken communication skills, and be able to manage a complex workload. 
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills, together with a positive, professional manner and the ability to deal tactfully and confidently with people at all levels;  
  • Have excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise work effectively and consistently meet deadlines. 
  • Be able to support the planning and delivery of ad hoc events 
  • Be confident in working on your own initiative but also as part of a team. 
  • Have a proactive approach to improving administrative processes, with an interest in using tools such as Power Automate, Excel, and Mail Merge to streamline routine tasks. 
  • Be confident in working with data, including the ability to extract, organise, and interpret basic information to support team activities.
