About the Role
We are looking to appoint an Undergraduate Student Support Officer, to work in the School of Economics and Finance. The post holder will be responsible for providing administrative support for the implementation of the School’s UG student engagement, retention and success strategies.
The post-holder will work closely with various academic staff and professional services teams to encourage engagement in teaching and student activities and co-ordinate feedback mechanisms to ensure that the student voice is represented appropriately in the school decision making processes. They will play a key role in supporting student engagement with SEF and QMUL events and projects. The post holder is a key member of the School’s UG Administration Team and acts as Secretary to the School’s UG Staff/Student Voice Committee, working closely with the UG Senior Tutor.
About You
You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent qualification) or have equivalent experience, with experience of working effectively with students and administration within Higher Education. You will have a high level of interpersonal skills, with an ability to build relationships and communicate using a range of media. You will also be able to work with tact and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive/ confidential issues and be able to respond to students in an empathetic and professional manner. You will also have an ability to work independently, using own initiative, to organise and prioritise a significant number of varying demands.
