About the Role
The School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science are looking to recruit a Research Assistant or Postdoctoral Research Assistant to support projects in the Antennas group led by Prof Yang Hao (FREng, FIEEE). These roles are supported by EPSRC and the Industry to develop novel reconfigurable antennas and metasurfaces for wireless communication applications.
About You
Applicants should have completed an Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent), Chemistry. Applicants at a PDRA level must have a PhD in Electronic Engineering, Material science. Candidates must have expertise in one or more of the following areas: Automated experimentation, robot assisted synthesis, thin film deposition, perovskite materials, oxide materials. It would be desirable for applicants to have publications in leading journals within their respective fields.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is a full time (35 hours per week) for PDRA, and full time or part time (20 hours) for RA, fixed term appointment for 24 months, with an expected start date of as soon as possible. The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of £38,419 - £39,022 for a RA per annum (pro rata for part time), and Grade 4 in the range of £42,091 - £46,618 for a PDRA per annum (pro rata for part time), inclusive of London Allowance.
