About the role
A position for a Senior Technician is available in the laboratory of Leon Lagnado, funded by Wellcome. The post-holder will be responsible for contributing to projects involving neurophysiological experiments with larval zebrafish, including the use of multiphoton microscopy to image neural activity and development of software for quantitative analysis and modelling. The general aim of the projects is to understand the circuit mechanisms that underly early visual processing. The post-holder may be provided with the opportunity to study for a PhD if they do not already hold this qualification.
We are a very active research group embedded in a strong research culture. We are located in the vibrant city of Brighton and London is 1 hour away.
About you
Applicants must be educated to at least Batchelor’s level in a Neuroscience or Biomedical discipline. They should have a strong background in data analysis (e.g using Python, C or similar). Previous experience in the analysis of multiphoton imaging experiments would be an advantage.
