CAPS sits within the University Wellbeing & Student Support (W&SS) Teams at the University of Warwick who deliver a range of student support services through the Wellbeing, Disability and Counselling and Psychotherapy Services teams. About You
We are looking to employ an Associate Psychological Therapist, that is, a Counsellor/Psychotherapist who has completed their professional qualification and is working towards developing their practice to apply for accreditation (usually with BACP).
On a day-to-day basis, the Associate Psychological Therapist will offer individual therapy to students for short to medium term therapy contracts (around 5 sessions) working with moderate to complex distress. The presenting concerns are varied and typically include anxiety; depression; self identity and relationship issues but also will include eating distress; suicidality; self harm and complex trauma.
