Oxford Population Health (the Nuffield Department of Population Health, University of Oxford) is a global pioneer and leader in population health science. The department has over 900 staff, students and academic visitors who work together to investigate the causes and prevention of disease and lead human health forward.
The Senior Web Content and Development Officer will manage and maintain the department’s existing websites to ensure they are functional, accurate, and up-to-date, and support a project to consolidate and improve our online presence. The role involves working within the current Content Management Systems (CMSs) to make improvements, revamp sections, and optimise performance. The ideal candidate will have good technical knowledge, strong organisational and storytelling skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
To be considered, you will be educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably in a relevant field such as digital media/communications, computer science, IT, or another discipline with a strong focus on web technologies. You will also have experience working with content management systems (CMSs) for website updates and improvements and knowledge of digital media trends and best practices, including technical expertise in website management, content optimisation, and design.
This role is based in Oxford, and offered on a full-time basis (part time considered). It is a fixed term post for two years in the first instance.
