An opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a trial statistician within the Liverpool Clinical Trials Centre.
The purpose of this post is to support the conduct, analysis and reporting of results of clinical trials within the portfolio of research of the Liverpool Clinical Trials Centre (LCTC).
Under the supervision of a Statistical Lead, you will work across a diverse range of clinical trials encompassing both early and later phase trial designs, and gain experience across a variety of interventions including medicinal products, surgery, devices, and educational and behavioural interventions. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide statistical support for the trial. You will be involved in the production of recruitment reports, development of randomisation systems, safety reports, analyses of data, participate in the quality control and assurance processes within LCTC.
You will possess excellent presentation and communication skills and ideally have programming skills in SAS or R.
Appointment is dependent on the level of experience in clinical trials, degree of supervision and/or mentoring required and statistical programming.
Tenure: There is a permanent commitment of the University to this role though funding is research based with a fixed-term profile (1 year in the first instance)
You should have a degree (or equivalent qualification, or relevant professional experience) in statistics, medical statistics.
