Your role as a Catering Assistant (Costa Coffee or Subway): 

We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking people who take pride in their work and enjoy working in fast-paced Catering Environments and who have excellent customer service skills to join our team. 

Working within either at our busy Costa Coffee or Subway store, main duties for this role will include the preparation and service of a wide range of speciality food and drink items, understanding and adhering to all quality standards, formulas and procedures, clearing tables, using the till and general cleaning within the unit; providing excellent customer service at all times. 

As a member of our team, you will be the face of a global brand and have a positive and energetic approach, and be a colleague that the team looks forward to working with and building strong relationships with others to accomplish tasks and shared goals. You will have a keen eye for detail and aim to deliver exceptional operational service and standards at all times, and particularly in demanding and busy service times.

Available positions:

These are permanent positions which will attract 20% uplift allowance pay for any hours worked over the weekend. Flexibility to work a range of shifts will be required. Details of each position below:

Post 1 – Hours are 14 per week, (includes 2 shifts/7 hours per week to be arranged mainly Saturday and Sunday) working on a rotation basis between the hours of 7.00am and 7.30pm, on a permanent fractional contract working during term time only on a 33 weeks of the year basis. 

Post 2 – Hours are 10 per week, (includes 2 shifts/5 hours per week to be arranged mainly Monday to Friday) working on a rotation basis between the hours of 7.00am and 7.30pm, on a permanent fractional contract working during term time only on a 33 weeks of the year basis. 

Post 3 -  Hours are 25 per week (5 hours each day mainly Monday to Friday to include regular weekends) working on a rotation basis between the hours of 7.30am-7.30pm, on a permanent 52-week of the year contract. This is a core position required to work throughout the full calendar year (including outside of term and student vacation periods).
