We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing and Communications Assistant to join our Campus Services Section.
Duties of the Role
The Marketing & Communications Assistant provides dedicated marketing and administrative support for the UECS Marketing and Communications team and the wider UECS management team as needed.
The duties of the post include team administrative support from meeting organisation, coordination of the staff newsletter, liaison with internal and external suppliers to assisting with the organisation of section wide events. Administrative support will also include tasks for team financial processes such as raising purchase orders, goods receipting, setting up new supplier records and payment of invoices.
You will also provide marketing and communications support including the co-ordination and collation of the Campus Services communications and engagement newsletters, as well as assisting with market research, surveys, creation and distribution of marketing collateral.
You will build strong communication channels with students and staff and strong working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.
Skills and qualifications required
The successful candidate will hold a minimum of 4 GCSE's (minimum Grade C) or equivalent including English Language and will have relevant administrative experience together with experience of working within a customer focussed environment.
You will have experience of basic financial processes including purchase orders and invoices as well as experience of working to tight deadlines with multiple priorities. Good organisational skills and the ability to write clearly and concisely for various audiences with good attention to detail is essential. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and experience of/ or an interest in working in a marketing environment are also required.
