We are offering you the opportunity to become part of our Workplace Health, Safety and Wellbeing team. Our team of dedicated health and safety and occupational health professionals are committed to supporting the University’s core aims through our People Supporting Strategy.
Duties of the Role
As a member of the Workplace Health, Safety and Wellbeing team, you will support the University in the implementation of its Health and Safety Policy by providing competent health and safety advice, assistance and training, in accordance with the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations and University requirements.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining written health and safety documentation and records and assisting with the monitoring of health and safety across the University.
Skills and qualifications required
We are seeking a candidate with experience of managing health and safety across a medium-to-large size organisation. You must have a Certificate or NVQ/SVQ level 3 in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent) and/or relevant experience of an equivalent level. You should be a Technical Member of IOSH or be able to meet the requirements for this level.
