The School of Creative Performance and Production at the University of Winchester is seeking a part-time Lecturer in Musical Theatre (0.8 FTE). The successful candidate will be joining a School, which sits within the Faculty of Education and Arts, and celebrates the power of creativity and collaboration to transform lives.

The post-holder will provide training and deliver practical skills workshops to our undergraduate students in Musical Theatre (and related provision) with specific responsibility for all aspects of musical direction. They will support and contribute to the development and staging of in-house and public performances and productions. The post-holder will also teach across a range of modules in this area, contribute to projects, support the ongoing development of this area of provision, and participate in the organisation of the provision’s stage productions, and assume organisational and academic administrative responsibilities at project, module and programme levels.
As our ideal candidate, you will have experience of delivering teaching/training in music, musical theatre, and music literacy together with professional experience as a musical director, audition pianist and accompanist. You will have knowledge of musical theatre repertoire and styles and be able to work with students with a diverse range of musical abilities and learning backgrounds.
