Lecturer (Academic Tutor) (Education and Scholarship)

This new part-time (0.3 FTE) post is immediately available on a fixed-term basis until 31 July 2026.

This role can be based anywhere in the UK, but there will be a requirement to attend the University approximately four times a year.

The role
You will have responsibility for the design, development and production of teaching and learning material and deliver either across a range of modules or within a subject area (please specify) within the programme. You will work with the Academic Director of the Forensic Psychology Doctorate to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the academic elements of the programme in accord with the College’s education strategy and implementing the External Affairs strategy. You will also contribute directly to teaching in one or more of the discipline areas in the Programme and to the development and implementation of innovative teaching practices across CEDAR.

About you
For a Lecturer post you will:

• Possess a depth or breadth of specialist knowledge demonstrated by a doctorate level training or the necessary equivalent (Forensic Psychologist) with core knowledge relating to academic area (forensic) in order to teach and support learning on academic area (clinical and forensic) within the Forensic Programme.
• Possess a good honours degree in Psychology or a related discipline (at least a 2:1 or equivalent).
• Use a range of delivery techniques to enthuse and engage students.
• Participate in and develop external networks, for example, to contribute to student recruitment, secure student placements, facilitate outreach work, generate income, obtain consultancy projects, or build relationships for future activities.
• Will have evidence of excellent teaching identified by peer review and have made an impact at discipline programme level beyond their own teaching.
• Be expected to work towards Fellow of the HEA status and to attend formal CPD relating to this.
