A full-time post as Clinical Research Fellow in Interventional Cardiology is available at the University of Oxford, based at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
This post is suitable for doctors who have almost completed their training in interventional cardiology and are seeking additional experience in applied clinical research prior to obtaining a consultant appointment.
Active participation in clinical studies is an integral part of the post, which will also involve training in intracoronary imaging and physiology. It is not an approved training post. It is not a suitable post for candidates with limited experience of coronary intervention or candidates who are not committed to a long-term career in applied academic cardiology.
This post is a pivotal component of the NIHR Oxford Biomedical Research Centre’s Cardiovascular Theme (BRC4), and the post-holder will actively contribute to the BRC4 research outputs, grant applications, and translational research proposals.
Only applications received before midday on September 9th can be considered. Interviews are due to take place soon thereafter.
For informal enquiries about the position, please contact Adrian Banning (Adrian.banning@cardiov.ox.ac.uk) or Giovanni Luigi De Maria (Giovanni.demaria@cardiov.ox.ac.uk)
