About ARU:
ARU is a global university transforming lives through innovative, inclusive and entrepreneurial education and research. ARU holds a Gold award for the quality of its education, awarded through the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF). ARU’s research institutes and four faculties bridge scientific, technical and creative fields. We deliver impactful research which tackles pressing issues and makes a real difference to our communities. Our academic excellence has been recognised by the UK’s Higher Education funding bodies, with 16 of our research areas assessed as world leading. We are the largest provider of Nursing, Midwifery, Health and Social Care students in the East of England, and we are also among the UK’s leading universities for degree apprenticeship provision, working with hundreds of employers across the UK.
About the Role:
Based in the Centre for Inclusive Societies and Economies (CISE) in the Faculty of Business and Law (FBL), your priority will be to strengthen and support the activities of the Centre, including income generation, research, impact and knowledge exchange. You will share the vision of the Centre to drive societal transformation by bridging economic and social disparities, advancing interdisciplinary research and practice for sustainable and equitable economic models, and emphasizing policy’s role in mitigating adverse outcomes.
With a PhD in a relevant discipline, you’ll have a proven track record of leading impactful research, attracting research funding and of scholarly outputs. You will play an important role in strengthening the research profile of CISE by building internal and external relationships and collaborations. You will have a keen interest in being interdisciplinary, with the ability to critically engage with a wide range of literatures as well as policy.
Informal enquiries can be made to Professor Nick Drydakis, Professor in Economics and Director of the Centre for Inclusive Societies and Economics, nick.drydakis@aru.ac.uk.
