Applications are sought for a committed Post-doctoral Research Fellow to work with Dr. Cornelia Oedekoven and Dr. Juan Ye conducting research for a Arcus Foundation funded project entitled Gibbon acoustic monitoring Lao PDR. The primary duties will be to develop a deep learning-based call detector for gibbons from acoustic recordings
The successful applicant will have (or be near to completion of) a PhD in Computer Science with expertise in deep neural networks, preferably with expertise in any of the following subfields: signal processing and transformers.
The post is available for five months at 100% FTE (or 12 months at 40% FTE) starting 10 September or as soon as possible thereafter.
