We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Research Assistant to join the research group of Professor Marella de Bruijn. The de Bruijn Group is interested in how blood and immune cells are generated in mammalian development. You will be responsible for carrying out experiments designed to advance specific semi-independent projects using a range of different techniques.
You will have a degree in biological sciences and a period of relevant practical working experience within a laboratory. Experience in core techniques including molecular biology, cell culture, mouse handling, immunohistology, microscopy, flow cytometry, and bioinformatics are essential to the post, along with sufficient specialist knowledge in stem cells, developmental biology, and immunology. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to organise own work, plan and analyse basic experiments will also be essential.
The post is available fixed-term until 31 March 2027, funded by the Medical Research Council.
