Do you want to use your skills to support the delivery of research frameworks to improve the health and wellbeing of those suffering respiratory illnesses? The Air Hub network is striving to better understand our indoor environments, particularly what particulate matter is inside, its toxicology and how we can improve the indoor environment for the countries most vulnerable populations. As an EPSRC micro-network plus we will be arranging workshops, conferences and research sandpits to build the UKs research capacity in this area, and enable further research grants.
Your role will be to co-ordinate the network. You will work closely with the leadership team of academics from a range of institutions. You will be responsible for supporting the team in organising and running events and distributing research funds. Working alongside the project researcher you will be responsible for creating public facing communications for the website and social media. As co-ordinator you will be working with a wide network membership, as well as supporting the growth of this. Working closely with the project lead you will be proactive at engaging with the membership, and chasing up deliverables. As a member of the team you will be involved in events and conferences covering a range of interesting topics from engineering to health, and you will have opportunities to network with a wide range of academics, industry, government and third sector organisations.
You will be part of the School of Mechanical Aerospace and Civil engineering, and will work with the schools research operations team. The role is 40% FTE and we are open to discussing how the hours are split over the week. We are committed to exploring flexible working opportunities which benefit the individual and University.
