Salary
Lecturer Grade F: £41,064 to £46,049 per annum.
Lecturer Grade G: £47,389 to £56,535 per annum.
The Role
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Lecturer in Accounting (Teaching and Research) to contribute to the research profile of the Accounting and Financial Management Subject Group and to the development and delivery of our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. We are particularly interested in applicants with expertise in one or more of the following areas: financial accounting and reporting; audit and assurance; management accounting; corporate governance; non-financial reporting (ESG/sustainability reporting); financial management; and business case studies.
Applicants should hold a PhD in a relevant accounting discipline or be nearing completion (strictly within three months of submission at the time of application). They should also demonstrate evidence of ongoing research activity and the potential to produce work that meets international standards of excellence in originality, significance and rigour which will enhance to the research profile of the subject group.
In addition, the successful candidate will bring a commitment to delivering high-quality, engaging teaching and supporting an excellent student experience across our programmes.
You will contribute to the research profile of the Accounting and Financial Management Subject Group in Newcastle University Business School by publishing in internationally recognised journals, demonstrating research impact, and securing external research funding. Additionally, you will develop and deliver programmes at Newcastle University Business School, ensuring an outstanding teaching experience for our students.
