About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Clinical Trial Administrator to join The Cancer Research UK Cancer Prevention Trials Unit (CPTU) at Queen Mary University of London. Your primary project will be the IMProVE trial (Prostate cancer screening using a risk adapted PSA/image-based approach: Pilot study for a Yorkshire wide comparison with Standard care). Funded by Yorkshire Cancer Research, this study aims to identify the most effective way to screen for prostate cancer in men across Yorkshire. By testing different recruitment strategies and screening methods, the study will generate vital evidence to inform the design of a future phase 3 trial.
Working with the Trial Manager, you will provide essential administrative support across the trial lifecycle, facilitating smooth coordination, accurate documentation, and compliance with regulatory standards.
About You
You will be a detail-oriented and motivated professional looking to provide hands-on administrative support to a large-scale study. Previous experience in clinical research administration will be an asset. Your excellent communication and organisational skills, along with strong attention to detail, will be key in managing documentation, coordinating meetings, and supporting collaboration with trial sites and external partners in line with Good Clinical Practice.
About the Institute and Centre
The Wolfson Institute of Population Health (WIPH) is an exciting and dynamic environment, home to 450 staff, 100 PhD students and 500 postgraduate taught students. It harnesses expertise across a wide range of population-based research and education activities and aims to be an internationally recognised centre of excellence in population health, primary care and preventive medicine. The Institute is organised into six separate research centres which, though complementary and following the Institute strategic plan, also have Centre-specific objectives and requirements.
The Centre for Cancer Screening, Prevention and Early Diagnosis (CCSPED) forms part of the WIPH and brings together globally leading researchers focusing on cancer prevention, cancer screening and detection and early diagnosis across three units, including the CRUK-funded Cancer Prevention Trials Unit (CPTU, Director - Sasieni). CCSPED also hosts the cross-cutting Cancer Behavioural Science group.
